The final countdown!!

I'm beginning to get REALLY excited about my triathlon next weekend ... I'm officially 10 days away, and can't wait to finally meet Jeannie and Carrie in person! I am so thrilled that they're coming all the way from Maryland and North Carolina to come and do my first triathlon with me. I'm such a lucky gal!

We had a whole email chain going this morning about the transition area opening at 4:30AM on race day (I live about an hour away, so that means we LEAVE the house at 3:30am!!). We also had a great convo on what we're going to wear LOL

I still need to get a new swimming suit - I've outgrown - or is it undergrown? - my current swimming suit, and don't feel like pulling a wardrobe malfunction in front of thousands of athletes and supporters LOL I contemplated buying a tri suit, but I'm not comfortable with my tummy yet - it's my problem area, and although I have committed to doing two more triathlons - one each in Carrie and Jeannie's neck of the woods - I don't want to spend money on something that won't fit by then!

I was really happy to workout with TrainerGirl this morning. She's my fave trainer cuz it's more like a workout with a girlfriend, we gossip and laugh and have a grand time. She pushes me just as hard as my other trainers, and ensures I'm working efficiently and giving my max effort. Thursdays are Cardio Torture days, but it's always a little more fun with TrainerGirl pushing my buttons :)

I'm super excited that TrainerGirl will be coming to watch my triathlon next Sunday - I tried to get her to do it with us, but she chickened out LOL Hey, that kinda freaks me out ... my trainer being too chicken to do something I'm going to do ...

Here's today's workout ...

1 minute @ 7.0 or higher
30 seconds in reverse as fast as I can
30 seconds @ 6.0 minimum (recovery)
* Repeat 7 times
2 min steady state

TrainerGirl stretched me out after our cardio, then she had me do a new core circuit. I actually have a video of part of my core circuit to share with you!

Well, that's all for today ... hope everyone made healthy choices today!

xo,
