Twitter Question of the Week

Fridays at Secrets of a Former Fat Girl is Twitter Question of the Week day, and I want to hear from YOU! There is so much we can learn from one another, and this is a great place to show us your sparkle!

Want to join in? Just follow me on Twitter, and watch for the Twitter Question of the Week (posted by 8am CST on the previous Thursday). All replies received via Twitter or Facebook by 10am on Friday will get posted with a link back to you!

How do you define success?

  • @akean81 says: success= completing what you set out to do. Bonus= do better than expected.

  • Coni says: Going to bed at night knowing that I did my very best on that particular day.

  • Devin says: Doing something that makes you happy while adding to others lives.

  • Jen says: Fulfilling the calling God has on your life! Use God's ruler when you're measuring your success!!

  • Christi says: Knowing that I did the best I could do with what I have and trusting God with the rest.

  • Kristie says: When your mind realizes what your heart already knows.

  • @Crazyfitchic says: Success to me is NEVER EVER EVER GIVING UP

OMGosh, these answers are sooooo good this week!!! Here's my answer ...

  • Success is knowing I did my very best and made every effort count, whether I reached my goal or fell short. Making every day better than the day before is what pushes me to keep going every day.

Well, I limped into my workout this morning - I took a spill off my bike last night (spectacular crash is how the neighbor's kid described it). CrazyTrainerGuy took pity on me, and used my entire workout stretching me out, and giving me a light massage. We also used the foam roller thingy - I seriously need one of those at home! My hamstrings, calves and IT band just melted under the foam roller. CrazyTrainerGuy gave me quite a few tips on what to do today and tomorrow as far as nutrition and rest are concerned.

Speaking of the triathlon ... I'm sitting here barely able to contain my glee ... Jeannie and Carrie are on the road as I speak, headed towards WI to participate in the Trek Women's Triathlon with me on Sunday. Jeannie just facebook'd that their ETA is 8.05pm, so let the countdown begin! :) I am SO EXCITED to meet these amazing women in person for the very first time, not to mention complete the most grueling, physically challenging task of my life right alongside both of them! My house is clean, their bedrooms are ready for them, and I'm just about to start a hearty and healthy chili in the crockpot for our dinner tonite. I can't wait! I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve :)

I'm not sure if I'll be posting tomorrow or Sunday because I don't want to spend time sitting on the computer when Carrie and Jeannie are HERE - that would be silly! I do have a fun new "thing" I'm scheduling to post tomorrow (so be sure to check back), and have also scheduled our next Former Fat Girl of the Week to post on Sunday. I promise a full recap on Sunday night or Monday at the latest!!!!

xo,
