I've been a baad baaaad girl!



Nuh-uh, no need to call out the Oompah Loompahs, I didn't fall into the chocolate river, I've just been a baad blogger!!



Geez-o-pete, another week has come and gone and I didn't blog a bit. I'M SO SORRY!! I really need to get back into the swing of blogging - and have the perfect opportunity to do so because I'm starting an unpaid furlough from work (perfect because I'll have an entire week off, not-so-perfect because that means NO income for a week). I'll have some time on my hands to catch up on EVERYONE's blogs, and get some really good posts up that have been floating around in my head for the past several weeks.

Switching gears here ...

Can you believe that 10 weeks from today is New Years Day 2010?? And with New Years Day, that brings a heckuvalot of "resolutions" to live healthier, exercise more, and giving up of various vices.

Don't even THINK about waiting until 2010 to get started on the new you. Start NOW. Start TODAY. THIS VERY SECOND. Don't waste another breath living half a life. Change now. It doesn't have to be a big change, just one small change.

TEN WEEKS!? Criminy. Yes..you are right...it is better to be well on our ways to health and fitness by Jan 1 and not put it off till then. I revamped my goal a bit....now...instead of being at my goal weight by 2010 I want to be in the top range of the "healthy weight" for my height. I am...as of today...only 16 or so pounds from being a "healthy weight". (o....m...g....can you even believe it!?) I can do that in 10 weeks! Wow! I feel empowered. THEN...my new years resolution can be to lose the last 15 or so pounds to get me in the MIDDLE of the healthy weight category...and then to MAINTAIN IT....and, of course, get stronger (push ups still elude me...but I am getting closer) and a bit faster and be able to run further. That sounds so do-able to me. In fact....I should vow to post a video of me doing 5 real pushups on new years day. Hmmmmm! (ok..that terrifies me...LOL)

You gave me a fright now...10 weeks, that means less to Xmas and we stil have to book some where to go...thinking of Berlin...

I don't have to start today: I've already started :)

I'm thinking about sign in for a run on December 31, that would be a great way to close a year in which I finally started changing my lifestyle.

Just 10 weeks til New Year's? Crap. I need to get my rear in gear. I wanted to hit my goal weight by Thanksgiving, but with 18.2 pounds to go, that's not going to happen. (I had 13 to go when I set the Thanksgiving goal ... but have been struggling lately.)
