Hi, I'm Michelle, a former fat girl. I'm also a food addict. I've lost 115 lbs since September 2008 following a clean eating diet. In July 2009, I achieved a dream of becoming a triathlete, and in August 2009, I become one of those crazy long distance running lovers I always thought were completely crazy after I crossed the finish line of my first half-marathon.
Some people think losing 100 lbs means I've been "cured". That is far from the truth. I still struggle daily with temptations and cravings. Most of the time I'm strong and keep pushing towards a healthier life. But sometimes, I cave, and answer the siren song of food. It's all about balance. Knowing when to cave in, knowing I'm not a failure if I do.
I still have work to do before I reach my goal, but this is no longer a race for me. As long as I make every day better than the last, I'm a success!

Do you see me? I'm right THERE. No, over THERE. Right behind the runner wearing with a white shirt on. No, not that runner, the other one. LOL (Just kidding!)
This is the start of the race, and at this point, I'm still waaaay at the end.
