Today's post title perfectly captures what I felt when I first saw this.
xo,
Hi, I'm Michelle, a former fat girl. I'm also a food addict. I've lost 115 lbs since September 2008 following a clean eating diet. In July 2009, I achieved a dream of becoming a triathlete, and in August 2009, I become one of those crazy long distance running lovers I always thought were completely crazy after I crossed the finish line of my first half-marathon.
Some people think losing 100 lbs means I've been "cured". That is far from the truth. I still struggle daily with temptations and cravings. Most of the time I'm strong and keep pushing towards a healthier life. But sometimes, I cave, and answer the siren song of food. It's all about balance. Knowing when to cave in, knowing I'm not a failure if I do.
I still have work to do before I reach my goal, but this is no longer a race for me. As long as I make every day better than the last, I'm a success!

I agree totally!! She has a whole line... fat burners... appetite suppressant... I totally lost some respect for her!
I agree. What a sell out! Even though she claims that its only herbs, vitamins etc and nothing artficial used as a supplement to diet and exercize. I still think it gives the perception of "diet pills". And perception is everything!
I agree. Although she claims that her pills are supplements intended to be used alongside diet and exercize, I still think it gives off the perception of a "diet pill". And perception is everything! What a sell-out!
I agree! I was so distraught when I heard about it...*sigh*

what a crock. i agree with the title of your post. who is she fooling.
I was wondering why you felt betrayed, I guess I didn't read the small print, that does suck, I wonder if someone will CALL her on it?
Yup, she sold out. Sucks.
She totally lost her credibility with me. I mean how can you look up to someone that endorses diet pills?
Not to be contrary, but I don't see what the big deal is. The marketing of the pill seems like every other "lose weight like a miracle pill!" product. But if you look at the ingredients, they are herbs and other supplements Jillian Michaels has always advocated people use to balance their hormones and optimize the body's ability to function at it's best. I know everyone in weight loss blog land is in an uproar, but I really don't get it. She's not claiming it will make it easy, she's not saying it replaces the hard work of eating healthy and exercise. Am I missing something?!?
